ABOUT THE ROLE





Join our dedicated team and help adults across Northwestern Ontario rebuild their lives through client-centered, recovery-focused care in our 40-bed Mental Health Rehabilitation Program. As a Registered Nurse, support individuals living with serious mental illness by fostering skill development, community connections, and renewed independence all within a collaborative, interprofessional environment.

WHAT YOU BRING





Education/Experience:


Certificate of Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses (CNO) Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Demonstrated experience in mental health nursing




Skills/Abilities:


Proven leadership abilities and team coordination skills Proficiency in nursing assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation Ability to work independently and as part of a team Advanced communication skills, both written and interpersonal, with the ability to foster therapeutic relationships Evidence of continuing professional development experience Strong knowledge of psychiatric illnesses, treatment approaches, and relevant legislation (MHA, HCCA, OH&S, PHIPA) Understanding of Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR), recovery principles, least restraint practices, and the safe use of safety devices Familiarity with nursing practice standards, professional guidelines, and evidence-based practices in serious mental illness Ability to collaborate effectively as a member of an interprofessional team Capability to meet the physical demands of the role Demonstrated regular attendance at work




Conditions of Employment:


This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory

Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)

where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
