Modern Angels Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated

Registered Nurse (RN)

to join our team in providing exceptional care to seniors in a retirement home setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with older adults, including those living with dementia and Alzheimer's, and demonstrate a strong commitment to person-centered care.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care and support to residents in accordance with care plans and medical directives. Administer medications safely and accurately. Monitor residents' health conditions, document changes, and communicate with physicians, families, and the care team. Offer support and comfort to residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, and other age-related conditions. Maintain accurate and timely medical records. Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards, infection prevention, and organizational policies. Participate in emergency response and perform CPR/first aid when required. Collaborate with personal support workers, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.
Qualifications & Requirements

Current Registration

as a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the

College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

.

Experience

in a retirement home, long-term care, or seniors' care setting.

Specialized Knowledge

in caring for seniors with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

Certifications Required:

CPR and First Aid Certification (current) WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) training PHIPA (Personal Health Information Protection Act) knowledge and compliance Strong skills in

medication administration

and resident safety. Understanding of infection control practices and resident confidentiality. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team. Compassion, patience, and respect for the dignity of seniors.
Additional Assets (Preferred but not mandatory)

Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) or other dementia care training. Previous retirement home regulatory compliance knowledge. Leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
