Located in the "Heart of Alberta," the Town of Stettler is strategically positioned just 179 km southeast of Edmonton and 101 km east of Red Deer. As a regional hub, Stettler serves a primary trading area of over 11,000 residents, offering a diverse range of services and amenities. The community boasts a comprehensive selection of facilities, including an elementary/junior high school, a composite high school, a public library, twin arenas, an aquatic centre, a performing arts theatre, and more. The surrounding area features several golf courses and is in close proximity to the scenic Buffalo Lake, enhancing the region's recreational appeal. Stettler Hospital features a 26-bed Medical/Surgical Inpatient Unit, which includes one palliative care suite, two LDRP (Labour, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) suites, and two monitored close observation beds. The facility also houses an 8-bed Emergency Department and offers a robust Surgical and Endoscopy Program. Successful candidates joining the healthcare team will be expected to work across Acute Care, Emergency, Operating Room, and Obstetrics. Comprehensive training and support are provided through the guidance of our Clinical Resource Nurse and Assistant Head Nurse, ensuring a smooth transition into the multidisciplinary care environment.
Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $39.58 - $54.16 per hour. Upon obtaining a full licence, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.
