Salary The salary range for this position is CAD $41.42/Hr. - CAD $55.91/Hr. Summary Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, the Staff Nurse,
Assess, identify, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to support patients/residents' physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs.
Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise individualized care plans.
Incorporate individual and group teaching into care plans and nursing interventions or refer to other resources as needed.
Share knowledge and demonstrate procedures to support and guide other nurses and healthcare professionals.
Work within an interdisciplinary clinical framework following BCCNM Standards of Practice.

What You Bring Education Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives, or in Residential Care and Mental Health, current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives. Skills and Abilities Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures appropriate for the area of service. Ability to work as a member in an interdisciplinary team. Ability to apply decision making and analytical skills. Ability to deal with others effectively. Ability to role model conflict resolution strategies. Your Day to Day:
Review patient/resident status through chart reviews, observations, interviews, questionnaires, and consultations with the healthcare team.
Assess patient/resident needs, develop, implement, evaluate, and revise care plans using clinical judgment and evidence-based practices.
Provide nursing care aligned with policies, procedures, and PHC standards, ensuring adherence to safety and quality guidelines.
Monitor patient/resident progress, evaluate outcomes, and modify care plans based on reassessments and clinical findings.
Document assessments, care plans, progress, and discharge plans accurately in both manual and computerized systems.
Provide nursing interventions in crisis and life-threatening situations.
Identify and respond to patient/resident and family learning needs, offering education, resources, and coaching for health-promoting behaviors.
Lead and direct Care Attendants and Licensed Practical Nurses, ensuring effective teamwork and providing guidance on tasks.
Participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient/resident care policies, quality improvement activities, and best practices.
Facilitate discharge planning and collaborate with families and community resource agencies to ensure seamless transitions.
