Provide direct patient care in both Operating Room (OR) and PACU settings
Assist physicians during embryo transfers, IUI, and ovum retrievals
Teach patients and families self-injection techniques and conduct monthly IUI orientations
Monitor and document patient progress pre- and post-procedure
Perform nursing duties including IV starts, vital signs, medication administration, and recovery monitoring
Maintain sterility and safety protocols in the OR and clinical areas
Ensure accurate patient documentation and charting for all procedures
Participate in patient education and counselling regarding treatment cycles
Communicate effectively with physicians, anesthesiologists, and clinic staff
Assist with ordering and restocking supplies, and maintaining drug and anesthesia inventories
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse with current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Operating Room or PACU experience preferred (minimum 1 year)
Current CPR, COR, and ACLS certification
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently
Strong organization, attention to detail, and multitasking ability
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, EMR systems)
Flexible to work weekdays with alternate weekends and occasional early morning procedures
