Position Purpose



As part of the Supply Ontario Vendor of Record (VOR) arrangement for Medical Professional Services (RFB #tender_20973), Registered Nurses (RNs) will deliver high-quality nursing services across Ontario. Assignments may include supporting government ministries, hospitals, schools, correctional facilities, and other eligible public sector organizations. Opportunities range from short-term relief coverage to long-term placements, as defined in client-specific Statements of Work (SOWs).

Key Responsibilities



Provide direct patient care within the RN scope of practice under the

College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

. Conduct assessments, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes. Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely and effectively. Collaborate with physicians, Nurse Practitioners, allied health professionals, and multidisciplinary care teams. Deliver patient and family health education and support. Utilize facility-specific

Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

systems (e.g., VitalHub TREAT in correctional facilities). Ensure compliance with

PHIPA, AODA, OHSA

, and all applicable Ontario legislation. Maintain professional standards of nursing practice across acute care, long-term care, community health, and institutional settings.

Qualifications & Requirements



Current registration in good standing with the

College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

. Minimum

2 years of recent clinical experience

in acute, long-term care, or community health. Strong clinical skills including patient assessment, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities. Flexibility to work across diverse environments (hospital, correctional, school, community) and Ontario regions. Ability to adapt to fluctuating client demand (no guaranteed volume of work).

Security & Compliance Requirements



Successful candidates must complete mandatory security screening prior to assignment, which may include:

Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) (as applicable) Credit Check (if required by client) Driver's Record / Out-of-Country checks (if driving is required)

Additional Information



Equipment:

RNs must provide their own stethoscope; other medical equipment will be supplied on-site.

Service Delivery:

Work may include both routine care and specialized assignments based on client needs.

Contract Details:

Assignments are contract-based only, with timelines defined in SOWs (ranging from short-term to multi-month).

hourly capped rates

only (no flat fee or permanent recruitment fees).
