Pediatric Registered Nurses

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assess, plan and intervene using the nursing process to meet the child's health care needs. Communicate findings to the physician and direct supervisor in the home. Perform skilled professional pediatric nursing care to the client as prescribed by the physician that includes a wide range of medical/surgical procedures that involves monitoring patient status and performance of procedures within the scope of RN practice. Observe and document any signs or symptoms indicative of changes in the condition of the resident and report issues of concern to physicians and the next of kin. Administer medications and observe clients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments. Run NJ tube feeds continuously through the shift. Assure client safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiate corrective action as appropriate. Maintain confidentiality of the client. Apply and maintain practices that prevent the spread of infection. Collaborate with other health professionals to ensure efficient and effective care. Carry out duties and responsibilities with utmost professionalism. Complete other tasks as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Current registration with College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)

One to two years

of relevant work experience in

Pediatric Acute care nursing

Current First Aid with CPR TLR (Transferring, Lifting, Repositioning)
REQUIREMENTS

Valid driver's license and vehicle Active license with CRNS Recent First Aid with CPR TLR (Transferring, Lifting, repositioning) 1-2 years experience in Pediatric Care nursing
