Job Duties: Our Registered Nurses, under the direction of the Care Manager, plan, organize, co-ordinate, and provide direct nursing care to elders. Within a multidisciplinary care environment, the RN provides guidance to LPNs and RCAs for elder care, which is consistent with current standards of professional practice, the Philosophy of Care, and established organizational standards. RNs will participate fully as members of the multidisciplinary team in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for work assignments in accordance with competency guidelines within the standards of practice, as outlined by the current legislative scope of practice. In the absence of both the Care Manager and CEO, is assigned in-charge responsibilities and maintains responsibility for making contact with such senior managers in the event of unusual circumstances

Job Qualifications: Graduation from an approved Registered Nursing Program; current practicing membership with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC) or Psychiatric Nurses of British Columbia (CRPNBC) and, current membership with the BCNU; two years recent related experience working with elderly and/or mental health clients, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
