- Nanaimo, BC- Local nurse for casual as needed shifts.

Position Overview:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team on an as-needed basis.

Interested candidates that reside in or around Nanaimo area and are able to reliably commute to Nanaimo BC will be considered for this position .

Key Responsibilities:



Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various healthcare settings. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Uphold all health and safety standards in accordance with provincial regulations. Familiarity with case management processes and laboratory procedures. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Proficient in using electronic health record systems, particularly Cerner or similar platforms. Compassionate demeanour with a commitment to providing high-quality nursing care. Provide direct patient care, including assessments, evaluations, and implementation of nursing plans. Manage patient cases by coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care strategies. Conduct laboratory tests and interpret results to guide treatment decisions. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records, including Cerner systems. Assist in pain management strategies to enhance patient comfort and recovery. Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention. Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards of practice.

Qualifications:



Registration with BC College of Nurses Previous clinical experience is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and adapt to various environments. Basic life support (BLS) & CPR.

Contract length: 1-4 months

Pay: $53.00-$57.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 50 per week
