RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide care in accordance with scope of practice, nursing best practice, policy and procedures, Licensing requirements including administration of medications and treatments, providing personal care, and accurate documentation established by the policies and procedures. Perform assessments, planning, evaluation of care including developing care plans in collaboration with the Director of Care, residents, families and care partners. Consult with Director of Care regarding complex resident situations for the purpose of determining best plan of action in regards to a resident's well-being Participate in the admission, discharge and transfer of residents according to organization policies and procedures. Provide direction to care partners (families) including information sharing, role modelling, assigning care responsibilities, problem solving, and orientation (of new staff) and providing feedback. Other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Education, Training and other requirements

Registration & good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives Experience and additional education in Care of Persons with Dementia is preferred. Must be physically and mentally fit for the work environment Pass a Criminal Record Check upon hiring and every 5 years thereafter

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $41.42-$59.52 per hour
