We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team in Northern Ontario in the town of Kenora (must be willing to relocate). The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This role involves working with patients of various age groups, including children and seniors, in diverse settings such as nursing homes, acute care facilities, and medical offices. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document medical histories.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient needs.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
Provide education to patients and families regarding health management and disease prevention.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
Perform phlebotomy procedures and manage laboratory specimens as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
Requirements
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and nursing practices.
Experience in nursing home settings or acute care preferred.
Familiarity with case management principles is a plus.
Experience working with children or in pediatric care is desirable.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
