program. The ideal candidate must be licensed and in good standing with the
College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia (CRNNS)
, with at least
five years of clinical experience
, including
two years in the continuing care sector
. Experience in adult education or instruction is considered a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver and maintain curriculum content for the CCA program, ensuring alignment with current program objectives and Department of Health and Wellness standards
Liaise with the Department of Health and Wellness to ensure ongoing compliance and curriculum relevance
Conduct lectures, practical demonstrations, and simulations to support student learning
Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and hands-on evaluations
Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to encourage student success
Collaborate with program coordinators and healthcare professionals to ensure educational excellence
Stay updated on developments in healthcare practices and instructional methods
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent
Current registration and good standing with the CRNNS
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse, including at least 2 years in continuing care
Experience in adult education or instructing is preferred
Proficiency with MS Office Suite and educational tools/software
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
