Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and demonstrate the ability to work effectively in various healthcare settings, including nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. This role is essential in providing high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages, including pediatrics and seniors, while ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards. Administer medications and monitor patient responses, ensuring adherence to medication administration guidelines. Perform nursing assessments, document patient conditions, and maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients. Provide support for patients with acute care needs, dementia care, pain management, and hospice care. Assist with phlebotomy procedures and laboratory tests as required. Educate patients and families on health management, disease prevention, and treatment options. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients while adhering to infection control protocols. Participate in case management activities to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

Valid Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) license. Previous experience in nursing homes, hospitals, or assisted living facilities is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices. Experience in pediatrics, senior care, home care, or hospice care is advantageous. Strong skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and pain management techniques. Ability to work effectively within a team environment while demonstrating excellent communication skills. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (Epic or Cerner) is a plus.
