This position reports to the Nursing Supervisor and the successful candidate will work out of the Central (Chilliwack) office. Some travel may be required for this position.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.
Minimum of five (5) years recent related community nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current practicing registration with the BCCNM.
Immunization Certificate, current First Aid, CPR & AED certification.
Knowledge of community and available resources and supports.
Ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with families and community resources.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with minimal supervision.
Strong documentation and report writing practices.
Proficiency in using computers: Microsoft 365, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, EMR and various video conferencing platforms.
Strong time management, coordination, and ability to adapt.
Ability to accept individual uniqueness and respect diversity.
Physically able to carry out the duties of the position.
Strong adherence to confidentiality guidelines of all client health records and utilizing a variety of methods in accordance with established standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Proven ability to follow health and safety guidelines, established safety and emergency practices and procedures.
Wound care, palliative care, footcare, or other training/experience. (preferred)
Completion of WHMIS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, and Safe Food Handling Course. (preferred)
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING IF SCREENED IN FOR AN INTERVIEW:
Proof of education documentation and current Registration.
References: Names and email addresses of two professional references. (i.e., recent supervisors/managers)
Must hold and maintain a valid Class 5 BC Drivers' License
Must successfully pass Criminal Records Check.
Ability to work occasional evening and weekends.
SALARY RANGE:
$46.00-$56.00 per hour and based on qualifications/experience.
TYPE OF POSITION
:
Part-time (3) days per week
with benefits, subject to 3-month probationary period and planned performance evaluations.
