Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, experience with various patient populations, and proficiency in electronic health records systems such as Epic and Cerner. This role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality patient care across diverse settings, including hospital, home care, assisted living, nursing homes, and pediatric environments. The Registered Nurse will play a vital role in promoting health, managing pain, and supporting patients through their recovery and ongoing care needs.
Duties
Deliver comprehensive patient care in acute care, hospital, home care, nursing home, or assisted living settings.
Administer medications accurately and safely, including injections and IV therapies.
Perform phlebotomy procedures and laboratory testing as needed.
Monitor patient vital signs and assess health status regularly.
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Manage pain effectively through appropriate interventions and medication administration.
Educate patients and families on health conditions, medication use, and post-discharge care instructions.
Document all patient interactions accurately using electronic health records such as Epic or Cerner.
Assist with case management activities to coordinate ongoing patient services.
Provide specialized care for pediatrics, seniors with dementia or senior care needs, including dementia-specific protocols.
Support medical office functions related to patient care when necessary.
Qualifications
Valid CNO RN license
Proven experience in hospital settings with acute care, pain management, or case management preferred.
Experience working with pediatric patients, seniors, or those requiring dementia or senior care is highly desirable.
Proficiency in electronic health records systems.
Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and laboratory procedures like phlebotomy.
Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Experience in medical office environments or home care is a plus.
