As a member of the interdisciplinary team at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, the Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RN/RPN) provides safe patient centred care on a 22 bed Older Adult Psychiatry Rehabilitation Unit. Evidence based nursing process is applied to achieve excellence in mood disorders, thought disorders, and dementia care. The successful candidate ensures the delivery of safe and effective patient care by collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and other programs and services. Excellent leadership and time management skills are required for this position. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $39.58 - $54.16 per hour. Upon obtaining a full licence, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.
