The Emergency & Urgent Care Program strives to exemplify excellence in emergency medicine to serve the patients in our community. As a program, we aspire to provide compassionate, high quality care within our collaborative and interprofessional environment, with a focus on an inclusiveness and accessibility. Our Urgent Care Center (UCC) is dedicated to high quality patient and staff experience, patient safety and best possible outcomes.
The Trillium Health Partners Urgent Care Centre is located at the Queensway site providing access to urgent care for the community. Our Nurse and Physician teams work collaboratively to deliver high quality care to our patients and also invests in our people.

Here's what you'll get to do...
Work in collaboration with the interdisciplinary health care team to assess and treat a wide variety of patients and their health emergencies.
Assess patients, monitor vital signs, prepare and participate in patient treatment and procedures and complete other UCC nursing duties and responsibilities
Use your critical thinking and high level assessment skills to assess and treat patients
Liaise between patients, families, other members of health care team, and community partners
Participate in quality improvement processes, counsels and committees for the UCC
Contribute to the development and update of clinic references and policies and procedures
Maintain clinical competence and knowledge base through continued education and lifelong learning
Here's what you need...
Baccalaureate degree and/or Diploma in Nursing (RN)
Previous experience working in an emergency department and or urgent care setting required
Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
CTAS certification is an asset
Triage experience preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to utilize your critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork abilities
Demonstrated team player who can also be self-directed and work independently
Positive attitude and ability to work in a team
Compassion and kindness
Continuous education courses considered an asset, such as: patient assessment course, cardiology courses, critical care and/or emergency courses, BLS, ACLS/PALS
Reliable and flexible individual to work as part of a diverse work team.
Positive work record essential
