Job Overview


Hospice Quinte is currently seeking PT and FT Registered Nurses (RN).



Hospice Quinte's Stan Klemencic Care Centre is the home of all of our programs and services. It is home to 6 residents requiring 24/7 clinical care. You will work collaboratively with the Hospice Residence Manager and clinical team.

12 hour shift rotations.



$35.85 - $40.32 per hour



Duties



Assess and monitor patient health by performing physical examinations and obtaining medical histories. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care. Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as InfoAnywhere. Provide support in pain management strategies for patients experiencing discomfort. Assist in laboratory procedures and tests as needed. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain a safe environment for patients.

Skills



Proficient in medical terminology and nursing practices. Experience working within a palliative care setting is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with electronic health record systems such as InfoAnywhere is a plus Compassionate approach towards patient care, with a focus on enhancing the overall patient experience.
