About the Role

We are seeking a

Registered Nurse (RN)

with specialized experience in

surgical care

,

spinal cord injury management

, and

paraplegic client support

to provide compassionate, high-quality nursing services in a

home care setting

. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in

wound care

and

IV medication administration

, with a caring and patient-centered approach to client care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide

comprehensive nursing care

to clients recovering from surgery or living with spinal cord injuries. Perform

IV medication administration

, including initiation, monitoring, and maintenance of IV therapy in accordance with CNO and organizational standards. Deliver

wound assessment and management

, including advanced dressing techniques and infection control. Conduct thorough client assessments, monitor vital signs, and implement individualized care plans. Support

rehabilitation and mobility goals

for clients with paraplegia or spinal cord injuries. Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary care team (physicians, therapists, PSWs, and family members). Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely clinical documentation. Educate clients and families on care routines, medication safety, and health promotion.

Qualifications

Current

Certificate of Registration

with the

College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

in good standing.

Minimum of 2 years

of recent experience in

surgical, trauma, and spinal cord injury nursing

. Demonstrated experience and competency in

IV therapy and IV medication administration

. Proven

wound care expertise

(certification considered an asset). Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Compassionate, patient, and professional bedside manner. Current

CPR and First Aid certification

. Valid Ontario

driver's license

and access to reliable transportation.
