Position Overview

:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to provide clinical oversight and health support for youth in our care. The RN will collaborate with program staff, psychotherapists, and physicians to ensure each youth's medical needs are met in alignment with MCCSS standards and best practices in residential care. The nurse will also work closely with our dietitian and on-site psychotherapist to support the holistic health, nutrition, and emotional well-being of the youth in our program.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct monthly health assessments and review medication administration records (MARs). Provide consultation and support to staff regarding medication safety, infection control, and health protocols. Collaborate with youth's physicians, mental health providers, and family/care teams. Review incident reports and provide follow-up recommendations as needed. Support staff training on topics such as medication administration, hygiene, and first aid. Ensure compliance with all medical and health-related regulatory standards.

Qualifications

:

Current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). Experience working with children/youth in residential or community care settings preferred. Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and behavioral health. Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
Schedule & Compensation

Approximately 8-10 hours per month, flexible scheduling. Opportunities for additional hours during inspections, audits, or medical emergencies. Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
