Responsible for planning and executing directing and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care of the surgical patient. The successful candidate will function within the multidisciplinary team and rotate through all surgical services including Endoscopy, orthopedics, general, gynecology, OBS, urology, and plastics.
Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire
• Successful completion of post graduate OR course required
• 1 year recent OR experience required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player, ability to utilize critical thinking skills, positive caring attitude, flexible and willingness to learn
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record required

Additional Information
Hours: Monday - Sunday, Various Rotating 7.5 hours shifts (0700 - 1500, 0730-1530, 0900-1700, 1500-2300) - Plus scheduled On-Call Duties (hours are subject to change based on operational needs)
Salary: $40.24 per hour - $57.68 per hour
