Qualifications:

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider within 3 months of hire.
• Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing Certificate/ Perinatal Certificate preferred. Applicants with less than 1 year experience required to obtain certification within 3 years
• Completion of a Basic Level Breast Feeding Certificate preferred or willingness to complete within 6 months of employment required.
• Recent experience in an NICU or completion of the Perinatal/Neonatal certificate. Candidates without experience or certification may be considered and have 3 years to obtain NICU/Perinatal certification if they have completed NRP
• Current STABLE Program or ACORN provider an asset.
• Demonstrated commitment to family-centred care.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to function collaboratively as an interdisciplinary team player.
• Satisfactory attendance record.
