Full Time

Salary Range: $40.24 - $57.68 /hour

St. Joseph's Health Care is willing to consider applicants who are eligible for Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN). This program provides $25,000 in grant funding to eligible RPNs/RNs/ Nurse Practitioners in exchange for a two-year full-time commitment. Essential Qualifications

Current registration as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse. Current BCLS certification required Minimum 2 years of experience in breast imaging, including familiarity with interventional and procedural workflows. Minimum 2 years of experience in oncology, with demonstrated understanding of cancer care pathways and patient navigation. Minimum 2 years of surgical nursing experience, including assisting with or managing procedural care. Experience with the Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) required Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment with a focus on collaborative and compassionate care. Advanced communication and interviewing skills to effectively engage with patients experiencing anxiety or uncertainty surrounding breast health and cancer diagnoses. Demonstrated excellence in patient interviewing and assessment, including the ability to obtain comprehensive health histories and psychosocial information to support diagnostic and treatment planning. Clinical judgment and critical thinking in synthesizing patient narratives, imaging findings, and medical history to support team-based decision-making Proven ability to triage patients based on clinical findings, patient-reported symptoms, and procedural readiness in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Experience providing patient education and informed consent discussions related to diagnostic procedures and surgical interventions. Demonstrated ability to identify and address barriers to care, coordinating with social work, oncology navigation, and community supports as appropriate. Proficiency in documenting patient encounters and clinical assessments in accordance with organizational standards and CNO documentation guidelines. Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care practices when conducting patient interviews and assessments. Demonstrated competency in performing Clinical Breast Exams (CBE). Strong knowledge of community resources and support networks available to individuals diagnosed with breast cancer

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in French would be an asset. Electro surgery and laser certifications
