Located near the banks of the North Saskatchewan River, and nestled in amongst some of the most magnificent scenery Alberta has to offer, Elk Point is the right place to be! Elk Point is situated in the County of St Paul, in east-central Alberta, with a population of approximately 1,500. We offer an arena, a public library, a fitness centre, the Elk Point Water Spray Park, excellent housing opportunities, schools, and a day care facility. Elk Point has a full range of services including two grocery stores, several convenience stores, pharmacies, a bakery, clothing and variety stores, and many restaurants. As a Registered Nurse, you will be a member of a multidisciplinary team, working in or out of our 30 bed Long Term Care unit. You will be responsible for the complete safe and quality care of our patients, in accordance with CRNA nursing practices, as well as the policies and guidelines of Alberta Health Services.

Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $35.17/hour - $42.96/hour ($35.87/hour - $43.82/hour effective April 1, 2023). Upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses, the rate of pay shall be adjusted to the rate of pay applicable to a Registered Nurse in accordance with AHS/UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable. Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:
