Full Time

Salary Range: $39.07 - $56.00 /hour

This program provides $25,000 in grant funding to eligible RPNs/RNs/ Nurse Practitioners in exchange for a two-year full-time commitment. An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse who will play an integral role as a member of the interdisciplinary team caring for Geriatric patients within the ambulatory services of Specialized Geriatric Services

Essential Qualifications

Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario Valid CPR certification Minimum of two (2) years' experience in completing Comprehensive Geriatric Assessments Knowledge of Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with OHSA Ability and commitment to act as a supervisor under OHSA Excellent problem-solving skills and clinical reasoning skills in complex clinical settings Ability to function autonomously and to adapt to constantly changing, unpredictable situations and varying workload Knowledge of and ability to mobilize community health resources and systems Demonstrated application of case management skills in complex clinical situations Superior interpersonal communication (written and verbal) and relationship building skills Ability to create a learning environment Demonstrated evidence-based practice Ability to apply effective body mechanics and meet the physical demands of the position Ability to travel within the catchment area

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in French would be an asset Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BScN) Experience in community and/or Ambulatory settings CNA Certification and/or enhanced learning in Gerontology

Immunization Requirements

Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza. Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
