Job Description

The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility for all aspects of the provision of nursing care to the Residents. The Registered Nurse will be the Team Leader, and in this capacity, will direct the team throughout the shift. The Registered Nurse actively participates in the nursing process by: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the specific needs of each resident, utilizing current gerontological practice. The Registered Nurse will acquire a thorough knowledge of, and adhere to the policies, procedures, and standards of MacLeod Cares. The Registered Nurse will establish and maintain positive working relationships with management, staff, residents, and residents' families.

Qualifications/Attributes:

Graduate from an approved School of Nursing, and must be currently registered or willing to obtain a license with the CRNNS. Experience in Long Term Care preferred. Must have current First Aid and BCLS certification, or willing to obtain A commitment to providing resident-focused care. A sincere interest in, and understanding of gerontology and dementia Optimal skills in both written and verbal communication
Salary: As per collective agreement

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $39.11-$46.86 per hour
