We are looking for a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RN/RPN) with experience in patient-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-based care for the Recovery Alberta, Adult Intensive Outreach Team in Lethbridge, Alberta. This position is based out of the Lethbridge Train Station and will provide concurrent support to individuals who require treatment in place for a variety of medical conditions including chronic disease, acute wound care and STBBI testing/treatment. Services will be community-based and recovery oriented towards adults experiencing severe and persistent mental illness, addiction, and homelessness. You will work in collaboration with community partner teams, both Recovery Alberta, AHS and non-AHS based to collaboratively provide care to individuals whose lives have been impacted by unstable housing, socioeconomic factors, and substances. Working within the RN/RPN scope of practice, you will provide consultative assessments and intakes for clients to determine physical and mental health stability, complete thorough health assessments, treatment planning, management, and monitoring of both patient physical and mental health issues. You will demonstrate a knowledgeable and caring clinical practice that is grounded in addiction and mental health nursing from a recovery-oriented perspective; have strong communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrate time management, independent decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; and an ability to foster positive relationships within a team environment are all expectations of this role. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $39.58 /hour - $54.16/hour. Upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses, the rate of pay shall be adjusted to the rate of pay applicable to a Registered Nurse in accordance with AHS/UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.
