• Effectively uses the nursing process
• Practices according to the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Hospital, and the patient service unit
• Provides appropriate learning experiences for the patient and family to promote or maintain wellness, and to achieve an optimal quality of life
• Is accountable for maintaining competence while developing the quality of his/ her professional nursing practice

Qualifications

• Current Certification of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (Essential)
• Current CPR Certification (Essential)
• Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
• Minimum 2 years pediatric experience or other appropriate combinations of education and
• experience, along with the demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties
• of the position, may be considered in lieu of stated education and experience (Preferred)
• Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills (Essential)
• Demonstrated culturally sensitive approach to nursing care (Essential)
• Demonstrated strong family centered care skills (Essential)
• Baccalaureate Degree of Nursing (Preferred)
• Bilingual (English/ French) (Preferred)
