Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Mental Health Services



Pay/Union: ONA (ONA Rates of Pay - $39.07-$56.00)



Location: Kingston, Ontario





Permanent Part-Time and Full-Time Positions available

Eligible for $5K Sign-On Bonus and up to $15K Relocation Allowance

Inpatient Mental Health Services:



As a member of the Inpatient Mental Health Nursing Team, you will work in a dynamic, recovery-oriented environment that supports individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges. Our units provide care for patients with a range of psychiatric diagnoses, including mood disorders, psychosis, and concurrent disorders.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver trauma-informed, person-centered care that promotes stabilization, safety, and recovery. Whether you are a new graduate or an experienced nurse, KHSC offers a comprehensive orientation and mentorship program to support your transition and professional growth in mental health nursing.


Key Responsibilities:


Provide holistic, evidence-based nursing care to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. Conduct mental status assessments, administer medications, and implement care plans in collaboration with the care team. Support patients and families through education, advocacy, and therapeutic communication. Contribute to a safe and respectful environment for patients, staff, and visitors.



Basic Qualifications

:
Eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). Demonstrated interest or experience in mental health nursing. Current BCLS certification. Satisfactory criminal reference check required.
