For more than 130 years, The Salvation Army has served people in need in communities across Canada and Bermuda. Mission Statement
The Salvation Army exists to share the love of Jesus Christ, meet human needs and be a transforming influence in the communities of our world.

1. Assumes responsibility for the delivery of care for each resident, ensuring that all personal and nursing care is provided in accordance with the mission of The Salvation Army, agency, regulatory and established ethical guidelines and requirements.
2. Monitors the treatment regime and health status including physical, emotional, spiritual and psychological needs to ensure the safety and well-being of the resident.
3. Applies critical thinking skills to assess the resident's situation, to detect subtle or significant changes in symptoms, in comfort and knows when action is necessary.
4. Performs nursing care to residents including administering prescribed medication and treatments, and observing, recording and reporting symptoms and changes in resident condition; offers compassionate care by remaining open to the goals and values of residents.
5. Communicates clearly and respectfully with all members of the hospice team, with residents and their family members, and is able to effectively and patiently collaborate toward arriving at the best practice and best care of residents.
6. Carries out established procedures to offer care for residents, is aware of the upkeep of the facility's equipment (such as fridge temperatures, battery operated devices, emergency equipment, and oxygen concentrators) and uses supplies properly.
7. Provides caring environment to residents and families including facilitating participation of resident and family in care plans
8. Maintains pertinent records and ensures all documentation is accurate and complete. Maintains strict confidentiality of information with regard to residents and families. Documents in electronic health record (Point Click Care) and in the E-MAR all medication reconciliations.
9. Participates in professional development opportunities such as inservices to maintain current knowledge and practice
10. Maintains relationships with all external health agencies, professionals and the community.
11. Performs other related duties as required.
Compensation:
The target hiring range for this position is $39.55 to $46.40 with a maximum of $53.24.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
