Registered Nurse
Job Description
As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse coordinates and evaluates patient care and provides nursing care according to the job description and Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses on our Short Stay Medicine unit and within our Medicine Program.
Qualifications
1. Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse or eligible for temporary registration
2. Current BCLS certification
3. CPO, Telemetry education and experience would be an asset
4. Previous related experience in acute medicine and/or geriatrics
5. Knowledge of the current nursing assessment and management of adult and geriatric medicine patients, including rehabilitative approaches to patient care
6. Knowledge of the nursing care plan and evidence of ability to utilize problem-solving and critical-thinking techniques effectively in an acute medical setting
7. Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
