Carson Medical Clinic, a reputable medical office with five family doctors, is currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse at our clinic, you will be an integral part of providing high-quality patient care and support. Summary

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our nursing team at Carson Medical Clinic. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our family doctors in various medical procedures. Your contributions will be essential in enhancing the health and well-being of our patients. You will be working with other nurses in a team setting.

Responsibilities

Full on-boarding and one and one shadowing /training will be provided to ensure optimal confidence prior to being immersed in the role. Additional training can be offered if needed. Perform nursing duties such as vaccinations, vital sign assessments, preventive medicine administration, diabetic checks, smoking cessation counseling, baby well checks, eye exams, wart treatments, ear syringing, and preparing patients for annual health examinations. Handle administrative tasks including answering phones, patient screening, appointment scheduling for diabetic checks and cancer screening tests, scanning documents, faxing, coordinating with public health agencies, and invoicing patients. Experience in mental health support, smoking cessation programs, and cancer screening within primary care is highly desirable.

Experience

Previous experience in primary care is an asset Familiarity with electronic medical records systems like OSCAR is preferred.

Requirements

Ontario RN license and membership with the RNAO are mandatory. Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems; knowledge of OSCAR EMR is an asset. Bilingualism is advantageous. Liability insurance coverage is required. New graduates are welcome; comprehensive training will be provided.

Benefits

Salary is aligned with Ministry of Health funding guidelines. Full-time position from Monday to Friday (9 AM to 5 PM) with one evening shift per week (1 PM to 8 PM); no weekend shifts. Collaborative work environment with a supportive team spirit.
