Recovery Alberta operating in The Northern Lights Regional Health Centre is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) to join our multidisciplinary team. This dynamic role involves working across our 10-bed Inpatient Care Unit, ECT Therapy, and Crisis Services, providing holistic, evidence-based care to acute psychiatric clients. Responsibilities include conducting mental health assessments, supporting crisis intervention, assisting with ECT procedures, and coordinating community follow-up. Strong communication skills are essential for delivering patient and family-centered care and collaborating with team members. Candidates must be able to independently perform mental status assessments, develop care plans, and demonstrate knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Alberta Mental Health Act and Health Information Act. Excellent time management and organizational skills are also required to meet the varied demands of each shift. Located in beautiful Fort McMurray which resides on Treaty 8 territory, and on the traditional lands of the Metis. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $39.58 - $54.16 per hour. Upon obtaining a full licence, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.
