Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform various clinical procedures, including IV insertion, catheterization, and wound care. Participate in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care post-discharge. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in nursing.

Skills

The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation. Strong background in critical care, including ICU experience and acute pain management. Familiarity with specialties such as ophthalmology, geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, and behavioral health. Competence in performing procedures like suturing, phlebotomy, tube feeding, and airway management. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia. Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
