Registered Nurse – Experience In Med/surg, Er, Icu, Or, And Psychiatric Units

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple units including Medical/Surgical, Emergency, Intensive Care, Operating Room, and Psychiatric services. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while ensuring safety, comfort, and compliance with hospital policies and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Assess and monitor patient conditions, identifying changes in health status and intervening as necessary. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to hospital protocols and physician orders. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to develop and implement individualized care plans. Provide emergency care and support in ER and ICU settings, including life-saving interventions. Assist in surgical procedures in the OR, maintaining sterile technique and patient safety. Deliver mental health care and crisis intervention in psychiatric units. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive health measures. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with nursing best practices.

Qualifications:



Registered Nurse (RN) license in BC. Experience in at least one of the following: Med/Surg, ER, ICU, OR, Psychiatric care; preference for multi-unit experience. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.

Preferred:



Advanced certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, BLS, Critical Care RN Certification) Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Work Environment:



Fast-paced healthcare setting with exposure to medical, surgical, and psychiatric patients. Shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $60.00-$72.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
