About the Job

The Registered Nurse:

Practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team Ensures the delivery of client-centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs Demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities

This is a Relief Part Time (0.50) opportunity until March 21, 2026 or the return of the incumbent.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 12:00 hours.

The Queen Victoria Hospital is a Level 1 Community Hospital in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap health service area. Located in Revelstoke, between Salmon Arm and Golden, the hospital offers services including acute care, laboratory, obstetrics, OR, and emergency.

Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) Advanced preparation in a critical care clinical specialty and 2 years related clinical experience aligned with unit specific competencies or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 3 years.


Note: Sites requiring competency in Emergency Room, Perianesthesia and Medical Device Reprocessing functions may also require NRP, TNCC and ACLS certificates.
