Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Care Manager of Addiction and Mental Health Supported Housing, the Registered Nurse (RN) will be a key member of a multidisciplinary team providing mental health support to clients with mental illness and potential comorbidities in various supported housing settings. AMH Supported Housing is an interdisciplinary recovery-oriented program aimed at supporting individuals in achieving stability and improving their quality of life within supported housing settings. Key Responsibilities include: Mental Health Support - Provide comprehensive mental health services to clients, ensuring individualized care plans are effectively implemented; Support Client Goals - Assist clients in setting and achieving their personal goals, promoting their independence, and enhancing their quality of life; Interdisciplinary Collaboration - Work closely with other programs and agencies to build capacity within supported housing environments, promoting a recovery-oriented approach; Scope of Practice - Operate within the RN scope of practice to assess, coordinate, supervise, administer, and evaluate health services and resources; Liaison Role - Act as a liaison between clients, families, natural supports, team members, contracted operators and their staff, physicians, mental health therapists, and other relevant programs and agencies; Intake Participation - Assist in intake activities to ensure appropriate placement and support for new clients. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $39.58 - $54.16 per hour. Upon obtaining a full licence, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. If you have not practiced as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse within the past five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required prior to employment: CRNA Medication Management (Chapters 1-4): https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/learning-and-development/learning-modules NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification: https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271. Additional Required Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in community mental health, particularly in an autonomous role. Strong assessment, coordination, and communication skills. In-depth understanding and knowledge of mental health conditions, comorbidities, and recovery-oriented approaches. Preferred Qualifications:
Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and with various external partners. Autonomy: Proven capability to manage responsibilities independently, making informed decisions to support client care. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to change and handle a dynamic work environment, ensuring flexibility in response to evolving client needs and program requirements.
