Come work with us in the ambulatory clinics at the Sturgeon Community Hospital! This department encompasses a variety of ambulatory clinics including general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, internal medicine, diabetes and endoscopy. In this role, you will support all of the clinics and rotate between them regularly. You will work with an interprofessional team in a fast-paced dynamic environment. The team is highly collaborative and supportive to ensure that all goals are met to ensure the best outcomes for our patients and families. As the successful candidate, you will bring strong technical skills and knowledge, knowledge of how to prepare and recover patients for procedures and ability to provide procedural sedation. You will also be able to start IVs and provide patient education. You'll also have the ability to adapt to multiple shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will also be able to communicate well with patients, ensuring understanding and being able to adjust your communication style to meet the needs of your audience. You will also be highly collaborative with your team in the collaborative care model but bring with you the ability to work independently as well. This position would fill shifts between Monday and Friday, with some evening and weekend on-call. This role provides a great opportunity to further develop your skills and technical knowledge in multiple areas and provides the opportunity to work closely with an interprofessional team, including interacting directly with anesthesiologists and physicians. In this position, you will be on your feet for an extended period of time (both walking and standing), and you must be able to assist in transporting, lifting and positioning of patients. You will also be required to bend, lift, push, and pull equipment.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $35.87/hour - $43.82/hour. Upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses, the rate of pay shall be adjusted to the rate of pay applicable to a Registered Nurse in accordance with AHS/UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.
