Our teams at Alberta Health Services (AHS) have an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses (RN) who will provide excellence in nursing care. As the RN, you are a leader and pivotal member on our team providing comprehensive and family centered antepartum care including triage care for diverse pregnancy related issues, intrapartum care in both the delivery room, pregnancy loss and/or obstetrical operating room as well as postpartum care for both mother and newborn, which may include care of patients on the postpartum unit. You will collaborate closely with our highly skilled interdisciplinary team who are incredibly dynamic, providing professional support to one another and understand the magnitude of the work that we do. As the successful candidate, you come to our team with well-developed communication skills and a talent for building trusted relationships in interprofessional teams. In addition to your ability to remain calm during a patient\'s greatest time of need, you thrive in a busy environment and are flexible to a rapidly changing environment. This multi-unit position will include Obstetrics, Labor & Delivery, and Acute Care units. Central Alberta is bordered by the Rocky Mountains on the west and the Saskatchewan border to the east. Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $35.87/hour - $43.82/hour. Upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses, the rate of pay shall be adjusted to the rate of pay applicable to a Registered Nurse in accordance with AHS/UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable. Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0) Additional Required Qualifications:

Current clinical experience (within the last 12 months) as a Registered Nurse in a Labour and Delivery or Obstetrics Unit with experience in labour, delivery, perioperative, antepartum, postpartum and newborn care. Minimum of three (3) years experience within the last five (5) years as a Registered Nurse in more than one of the following departments: acute care, emergency, intensive care, Labour and Delivery, obstetrics, and psychiatry. Experience with intrapartum Fetal Health Surveillance. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in a relevant specialty area. Completion of NRP, Electronic Monitoring and MoreOB certification or equivalent. Experience in an Obstetrical operating room environment. Current IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) Certification. Charge Nurse experience.
