Position Summary:

• Responsible and accountable for decisions and actions in the provision and management of nursing care for cardiac patients
• Practitioner, consultant and educator for cardiac patient groups and health team members

Qualifications:

THP is committed to internal talent, and therefore priority will be given to internal applicants.

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario is required
• 2 years recent cardiology and cardiac surgery experience required
• Coronary Care level 2 Certificate required
• Proficiency in 12 lead ECG interpretation
• Canadian Critical Care Certification and ACLS certificates required
• Ability to think critically and effectively in order to prioritize needs in emergency situations
• Highly effective decision making, problem solving and organizational skills combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
• Positive attendance and work record essential
