Summary of responsibilities


Reporting to the manager of Inpatient Mental Health, the Registered Nurse will work closely with Psychiatrists, community services, and the Inpatient Mental Health Program. The Long Acting Injection Clinic (LAI Clinic) Registered Nurse will function as a member of the Nursing Team within scope of practice; provide/administer nursing care to patients according to policies, procedures and to the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as well as CCH practice standards.


Requirements of the job


Holds current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario (5) five years demonstrated experience in a mental health setting Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Current certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention- Advanced


Asset


Canadian Nurses Association Certification Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Current RNAO membership Functional level in both official languages (oral and written in English; oral in French - and testing completed)
