Summary of responsibilities


As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the role of Registered Nurse (RN) at CCH is to deliver safe, effective, patient-centered, ethical, and evidenced-based nursing care. The overall function of the RN is to assist our patients and community to manage clinical conditions and transitions and maximize their self-care abilities. The RN also acts as a resource for members of the care team as well as embody a culture of caregiver inclusion in the patient's plan of care. It is expected that you will be also be trained to function in the OR, PACU and pre and post endoscopy.


Requirements of the job


Undergraduate degree (4 year) or community college diploma in nursing Certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Valid Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification Is committed to living the Mission and Values of Cornwall Community Hospital Demonstrated regular, punctual attendance Demonstrated commitment to patient safety Clinical knowledge and skills with central lines Recent experience in an OR setting, within the past 2 years Two (2) or more years of Critical Care experience (within last 3 years) Must have completed an OR Course Completion of critical care self-learning modules

Functional level in both official languages (oral and written in English; oral in French - and testing completed)
