Job Summary



The

RN

plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to clients, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity while following professional standards and established protocols.

Qualifications



Current R

N license in Alberta (CLPNA registration required)

Experience in

home care, long-term care, or hospital settings

Strong communication, assessment, and clinical skills Skilled in

medication administration, wound care, and chronic illness management

CPR & First Aid Certification

Reliable vehicle & valid driver's license Professional, empathetic, and dependable

Key Responsibilities



Conduct health assessments and monitor client conditions Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Provide wound care, chronic illness management, and health education Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility support) Offer compassionate emotional support to clients and families Monitor vital signs and promptly report changes Collaborate with other RNs, care coordinators, and healthcare teams Educate patients and families about health management and disease prevention Maintain accurate and timely documentation Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control

Preferred Experience & Skills



Nursing home experience

- effective in elder care

Hospital experience

- strong acute care knowledge

Home care skills

- ability to support clients in their homes

Dementia care knowledge

- supporting cognitive impairments

Pediatric care experience

- working with children as needed

Hospice & palliative care understanding

- end-of-life support Proficiency in

pain management

to maximize patient comfort Familiarity with

medical terminology & assisted living protocols

Strong

empathy, communication, and patient care skills
