We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care across various settings, including hospital, acute care, pediatrics, home care, nursing homes, assisted living, and senior care environments. This role requires a strong foundation in medical terminology, medication administration, and patient management to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained. Experience with electronic health records such as Epic and Cerner is preferred to facilitate efficient documentation and communication.
Duties
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients of all ages, including pediatrics and seniors
Administer medications accurately following physician orders and safety protocols
Monitor patient vital signs and assess their condition regularly
Assist with pain management strategies and implement appropriate interventions
Perform phlebotomy and laboratory procedures as needed for diagnostic purposes
Coordinate case management activities to optimize patient outcomes
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation within electronic health record systems like Epic and Cerner
Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care plans
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards in all patient interactions
Qualifications
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Proven experience in hospital, acute care, or nursing home settings; experience with dementia care, labor & delivery, or assisted living is a plus
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care procedures
Experience with Epic, Cerner, or similar electronic health record systems preferred
Ability to handle diverse patient populations including children and seniors with complex needs
Excellent communication skills and compassionate bedside manner
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as emergency or acute care units
Prior experience in pain management, case management, or home care is advantageous
Certification in phlebotomy or laboratory procedures is desirable but not required
