Hanna Health Centre is searching for a Registered Nurse to provide care in a medical inpatient acute care setting. The Hanna Health Centre is comprised of a 24-hour Emergency Department, a 17-bed Acute Care ward, and a 61-bed Long Term Care facility. You'll be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of quality care following the policies & guidelines of AHS. You'll also demonstrate genuine interest and respect for our patients and utilize your knowledge, skills, and abilities to competently provide direct patient & family-centered care. Utilizing your strong communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to provide care to clients across the life span. You'll ensure the development, implementation and ongoing administration of the client care plans. You'll assess, coordinate, supervise, administer and evaluate the provision of health services and healthcare resources. Hanna is located 199 km from Red Deer, with a population of 2,673. The town offers its residents a friendly, safe, and small-town lifestyle. Hanna residents benefit from a variety of amenities within the town, such as the Aquatic Centre for swimming, Centennial Place for fitness and other activities, and two lakes within 15 km of the town where residents can waterski or enjoy the sandy beaches. There is also the Agri-Sports Complex where residents can skate, play hockey, or curl. Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $39.58 /hour - $54.16/hour. Upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses, the rate of pay shall be adjusted to the rate of pay applicable to a Registered Nurse in accordance with AHS/UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.
