Job Description

Licensed by the Ministry of Education for 117 children (ages Infant through to age 12), Next to Mom Child Care in Belmont (Just 7mins South of the 401 on Hwy 74; 20 mins from London, St. Thomas and Aylmer) is looking for 2 full-time Child Care Educators, RECE's preferred but not necessary. Next to Mom does not use AI for screening/recruiting candidates.

Candidates should have the qualifications stated below and also be able to do the following:

Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution Skills, Equally, share room responsibilities, Ability to think quickly based on the situation, Strong team-working skills as well as the ability to work independently, Flexibility, Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, Demonstrate a strong commitment to the position and program through attendance, punctuality and enthusiasm, Interact and supervise children, be able to intervene when necessary and provide behaviour management following policies and procedures. Current First Aid and CPR-C certificate, Within 6 months, have a Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Check, or be willing to obtain prior to the first day of work Assist in the development and implementation of programming that is developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and in line with How DOESLearning Happen? Cleaning and disinfecting of the room and toys (sweeping, mopping, toy washing etc), Own transportation as busses do not come to Belmont 18+ years of age (Ministry Requirement)
