New Earth Therapy is hiring a Registered Psychologist, Registered Social Worker, Registered Psychotherapist or Canadian Certified Counsellor for an

independent contract position.

About this position:

New Earth is looking for one independent contract therapist to join our team. We are looking for established professionals who work in a variety of therapeutic areas: individual counselling with children and adults, couples counselling, family counselling and group therapy. This position offers flexibility in hours, and allows you to choose your own schedule, although preference is given to those with fulltime availability. The majority of the work is done in-person, therefore remote applicants will not be considered at this time.

Duties:

- Conduct assessments and evaluations of individuals to determine their needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Provide counseling and support to individuals, families, and groups to address emotional, behavioral, and social issues
- Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate care and ensure the best outcomes for clients
- Advocate for clients' rights and access to resources and services
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and progress per New Earth Therapy standards
- Stay informed about community resources and refer clients to appropriate services as needed
- Participate in inter-disciplinary meetings, peer consult team meetings, and collaborative meetings
- Participate in ongoing professional development

Qualifications & Job Requirements:

- Master's degree or Ph.D in Psychology, Social Work or related field
- Active registration in good standing with a governing body
- Thorough understanding and adherence to your governing body's ethical guidelines
- Proof of personal liability insurance
- Additional training in one of: Somatic Experiencing, ART, EMDR, Gottman couples therapy or similar is considered a

strong asset
- 2 years of experience in a therapy setting is considered an asset
- Experience in addressing and supporting common mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, etc.
