We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients achieve relaxation and relief from stress or pain through therapeutic massage techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of various massage modalities and the ability to tailor treatments to meet individual client needs.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their specific needs and health conditions.
Provide high-quality massage therapy services, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and other modalities as required.
Maintain a clean and organized treatment room, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend follow-up treatments or self-care practices.
Keep accurate records of client sessions, including treatment notes and progress updates.
Stay updated on industry trends and techniques through continuous education and training.
Collaborate with other wellness professionals to enhance the overall client experience.
Requirements
Valid state licensure or certification in massage therapy.
Strong knowledge of various massage techniques and modalities.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs.
Ability to create a calming environment for clients during sessions.
Physical stamina to perform massages for extended periods while maintaining proper body mechanics.
Previous experience in a spa, wellness center, or similar environment is preferred but not required.
A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of massage therapy.
