Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)

Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and tailor massage treatments accordingly. Perform a variety of massage techniques, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy, to alleviate pain and tension. Maintain accurate records of client sessions, including treatment plans and progress notes, using appropriate medical terminology. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients, particularly in pain management and occupational health scenarios. Provide exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming environment and ensuring client satisfaction throughout their experience. Stay updated on the latest techniques and trends in the field of massage therapy, including knowledge of physiology and anatomy.

Skills

Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about their needs and treatment options. Proficient in patient assessment techniques to identify areas requiring attention during treatments. Expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other therapeutic modalities. Knowledgeable in pain management strategies and occupational health considerations. Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy to enhance communication with clients and other healthcare providers. Previous experience as a massage therapist is a plus, showcasing an understanding of holistic approaches to wellness. Pay: $60.00-$80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week
