Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional therapeutic services to clients, helping them achieve relaxation and relief from stress or pain. As a Massage Therapist, you will utilize various techniques to enhance the physical and emotional well-being of clients while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.

Solace Psychology & Wellness (South Edmonton) is a holistic family-centered wellness clinic offering massage therapy, yoga, meditation, psychological counselling, assessments, nutrition therapy, and wellness workshops. Duties

:

Perform a variety of massage techniques tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, hot stone massage, and therapeutic massage. Ability to provide prenatal and postnatal massage services as we have a women's wellness program. Adept with writing professional reports for insurance companies and session charts. Conduct thorough client assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on their health history and preferences. Maintain accurate records of client treatments and progress while adhering to confidentiality standards. Communicate effectively with clients regarding their treatment options, aftercare advice, and any relevant medical terminology. Ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace by following hygiene protocols and maintaining equipment. Provide excellent customer service by creating a positive experience for clients from the moment they enter until they leave the facility. Stay updated on industry trends, new techniques, and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills.

Skills

:

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs. Excellent customer service abilities to create a welcoming atmosphere and foster client relationships. Knowledge of medical terminology to accurately discuss health-related issues with clients. Proficiency in various massage techniques with an understanding of anatomy and physiology. Ability to maintain professionalism in all interactions while demonstrating empathy and care for clients' well-being. Strong organizational skills to manage client schedules and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Registered Massage Therapist in Alberta. Experience in providing exceptional massage services (at least 1 year preferred). Excellent communication skills. Ability to educate clients on stretches and ways to improve their condition (within your scope). A passion for wellness, fitness, and the holistic benefits of massage. Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate various massage times as needed (especially Saturdays and evenings). Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
